At Desert Christian Schools, we are committed to nurturing students' hearts and minds in Christ. The DCS faculty and staff serve as mentors, modeling Christ-like character and guiding students in their spiritual growth. Through daily biblical integration and Christ-centered teaching, we partner with families to guide students in developing a personal relationship with Jesus. Our goal is to inspire lifelong disciples who are continuously growing in spiritual maturity, to possess a Biblical worldview, and impact their world for Christ.

High School Discipleship

High School Small Groups

High school students gather biweekly with their dedicated small group leaders for meaningful connections and growth. Groups are thoughtfully organized by grade level and gender, creating a comfortable and relatable environment. Similar to church small groups, these gatherings focus on exploring biblical topics, engaging in heartfelt discussions, and uplifting one another through prayer.

High School Outreach Days

High School Outreach Days play a vital role in our discipleship program, fostering a spirit of service among students. Each semester, our small groups dedicate a day to completing an outreach project, enabling them to create a meaningful impact. These projects provide a wonderful opportunity for students to give back to the Tucson community and deepen their connections with others.

High School Retreat

The High School Retreat is a cherished highlight of the school year! Early in the semester, students, faculty, and staff escape to stunning Lost Canyon Camp in Williams, AZ, for an unforgettable three-day adventure. This retreat is a special time for building connections, deepening relationships, and creating lasting memories through worship, team-building activities, and plenty of fun.

K8 Discipleship

Twice a week, each teacher mentors a group of students through engaging, hands-on elective classes designed to inspire creativity, skill-building, and personal growth. Whether exploring the arts, serving the community, or working with their hands, students have the opportunity to learn in a dynamic and meaningful way.

Elective Examples*:
🚗 Automotive – Get under the hood and learn the mechanics of cars.
🎨 Art – Unleash creativity through painting, drawing, and design.
🎭 Drama – Step into the spotlight and bring stories to life.
✈️ Missions Trips – Make a global impact through service and outreach.

🌿 The Farm – Connect with nature through gardening and animal care.

These electives go beyond the classroom, allowing students to discover new passions while growing in faith and character!
