GROUNDED IN FAITH. GROWING IN EXCELLENCE

We are committed to raising up students who are grounded in their faith and fully equipped to enter the world prepared to not only excel, but to stand firm and courageous in whatever God has called them to do with the gifts He has given them. We’ve been blessed to grow each year, and are overwhelmed by the need as public schools continue to indoctrinate and attack Christian principles.

Since the inception of DCS, we have seen God move in powerful ways in the lives of our students and families. With this new opportunity, it is exciting to see God’s plans for the future unfold. We recently acquired 10 acres adjacent to our high school campus, which is rapidly being transformed into new classrooms capable of increasing our capacity to educate over 200 additional students, and athletic fields which will deeply enrich the experiences of the students we are blessed to educate.

We cannot accomplish this without you and ask you to prayerfully consider supporting us as we embark on this exciting and needed expansion.

What We Need

If you’re reading this, you’ve been impacted by Desert Christian Schools in some way - either as an alumni, or as a parent of an alumni or current student. Or perhaps you have a passion for Christian education and believe in the value of giving to see more students brought up in the instruction of our faith. Whatever the case may be, we are grateful for your heart for Desert Christian, and ask you to prayerfully consider giving.

WHY NOW?

We’ve spent nearly 40 years on this campus - a campus made up of temporary buildings. Much like the Israelites wandering in the desert, living in tents, we are ready to give our current and future students more - a campus that matches our internal excellence and opportunities to further explore the gifts and talents God has given them. We will not only increase our capacity but attract a larger population of students because of the added opportunities afforded as a result of this needed expansion project.

WHY DESERT CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS MATTERS

Children today (Gen Z) are bombarded by worldly ideologies, indoctrination, and moral relativism. It feels like the past few years have been on warp speed - with the evil and depravity of the world becoming more and more acceptable. Students who go through the public school system are often isolated, ridiculed for their beliefs and attacked by their peers and teachers. While we know all students must grow up and face the world, we believe a Christian education prepares them to meet the challenges, unashamed of the Gospel, and fully capable of defending their faith. At Desert Christian, we are intentional about not only teaching students what it means to follow Christ, but discipling them so they can test and grow their faith in a safe, nurturing environment.

HOW TO THINK, NOT WHAT TO THINK

Public schools have become increasingly about teaching to the test or telling a child what to think about the world, culture, and ideology. We believe students should be taught how to think, not what to think. This gives them the confidence and courage to face the world without fear - because they are prepared to critically analyze what they are being told, and defend their beliefs.

OUR STUDENT STORIES

“I truly do not know what life would have been like had I not been at Desert, where I was in a safe place to feel like I was failing but to be shown unconditional love and support. In my sophomore year, I finally understood what it meant to accept the Lord as my Savior, and my life has been changed ever since.”

- SYVANA BRE, CLASS OF 2009

“ Desert Christian Schools teach what schools often don't - acceptance and love - for those children who don't fit into a specific category. ”

- JAIME AND MARTHA OLIVIA CHAMBERLAIN, CURRENT ESS PARENTS

“ The experiences we both had as students at DCHS helped to form us into who we are today. We were challenged to think critically, develop a hard work ethic and explore the liberal arts through the lens of the Bible. Most importantly, it helped secure the foundation of our faith in Jesus. ”

- RAY AND AMY PHILIPS, DCS ALUMNI, CURRENT DCS TEACHERS AND PARENTS OF DCS STUDENTS.

“We have kids that span the spectrum in terms of needs - we have everything from an academically gifted child all the way to children that need exceptional studen services. Through it all, Desert Christian has not only been able to meet the needs of our family, but to provide them all with a Christ-centered learning environment that has brought out all of their God-given potential.”

- MATT AND DR. CHRISTINE FARINELLI, BOARD PRESIDENT AND DCS ALUMNI PARENTS
