At Desert Christian High School, we believe that it is important to engage students’ mind, body, and soul while giving glory to God. Our STEM offerings are designed with that purpose in mind. We strive to provide students with opportunities to develop into critical thinkers, to collaborate with fellow students and staff, to discover creative ways to solve real world problems, and to make an impact on the community, both locally and globally.

Desert Christian requires students to earn 26 credits (1 credit = 1 full year class); to receive a diploma students must fulfill the following:

English - 4 units

Math - 4 units while in high school

Bible - 4 units

Social Sciences - 4 units (Class of 2028 and beyond)

Science - 3 units

Foreign Language - 2 units

Fine arts - 1 unit

Senior Capstone (Includes Senior Expo) - 1 unit

Electives - 3 units

DCHS offers both dual enrollment and Advanced Placement (AP) courses. Students can earn up to 18-22 units of university-level credit while attending DCHS. AP and dual enrollment courses are offered across multiple disciplines.

AP courses as approved through the College Board. Dual enrollment courses are approved through Colorado Christian University and the University of Arizona.  Information regarding prerequisites and instructor recommendations are found in the Course Catalog course descriptions for these courses. Information regarding enrollment will be provided by the Guidance Department.

Historically 88% of DCHS students attend college after graduating. 87% of these seniors attend a 4-year institution. DCHS is also proud to share that many of our graduating seniors go on to serve in the Armed Forces and Public Services.

Graduates attend a number of public, private, and Christian universities. Notable schools include Boston University, Emerson College, Yale University, Harvard Business School, Hillsdale College, Texas A & M, US Air Force Academy, Westpoint US Military Academy, US Coast Guard Academy, and US Naval Academy.
