Desert Christian Schools

At Desert we are partnering with parents to disciple students while giving them a Biblically integrated traditional liberal arts education.  This is in our stated mission. 

Partnering is a two way relationship.  Partners are focused on a common goal.  Our focused goal is the discipleship of children and providing them a quality education from a Christian worldview.  We are joining with Christian families who have that same desire.   

Discipleship is teaching individuals to follow Christ in wisdom and spirit.  A disciple is a learner and follower.  We want students to learn how to follow Jesus both in His word (wisdom) and in His Spirit (spirit).  Discipling is a life on life endeavor.  Paul points out in 1 Thessalonians 2:8-12 that his discipling of the folk at Thessalonica involved being like a father and mother to them, loving them, sharing his life with them, encouraging, comforting and urging them to live Christ honoring lives.  The faculty and staff at DCS  partner with families to minister to their children in the same way.

We are also working to educate children.  We want to teach them to think, communicate and relate.  Our curriculum is based on developing the skills and knowledge necessary to prepare these students for whatever God calls them toward.  We want them to learn to think critically about a variety of topics, from Math to History or from Science to Arts.

In combination, discipling and educating will prepare the student in mind, body, and spirit to follow Christ and live a holistic life here on earth.  Come join us in this important work. Together let’s see what God will do!
